Body from car in river ID'd as long-missing woman

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (AP) — A Pawtucket woman reported missing nearly three years ago has been identified as the one inside a car pulled from the Blackstone River in Central Falls.

Police responded on Tuesday to Broad Street for a report of a vehicle in the water. When they removed the car, they discovered a woman's body inside.

The state medical examiner's office identified her Thursday as Angela Rivera. Officials said she was reported missing to the Pawtucket Police Department in March 2011. She was 59 at the time.

Police say foul play has been ruled out.
