WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — A mixed martial arts fighter has been ordered held without bail in Rhode Island until can be extradited to Ohio to face assault charges.

Josue Killion of Findley, Ohio was detained Friday about 15 minutes before his scheduled bout at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln.

Sgt. Scott Campbell of the Defiance, Ohio, Police Department tells the Providence Journal that Killion and two others are accused of felony assault after a fight in which another man was seriously hurt.

Killion, who fights as Josh Killion, waived his right to a hearing Monday that would have contested extradition.

Killion has been a pro since December 2011 and has a record of 10-5.
