NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Two Rhode Island school systems have been donating leftovers from student lunches to some pigs in Burllillville.

The Woonsocket Call reports North Smithfield and Burrillville public schools have been providing scraps from lunches to the My Blue Heaven Farm.

It's part of the schools recycling programs.

More than 3,000 pigs live on the farm.
