PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — An 18-year-old Pawtucket man has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and agreed to testify against three other people charged in the February shooting death of a Central High School football player.

The Providence Journal reports Alain Bedame faces life in prison for his role in the killing of George Holland.

Bedame also pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to commit murder and discharging a firearm while committing a crime that resulted in injury.

The 17-year-old victim was shot through the window of his girlfriend's home on Feb. 4.

Police say the gunfire was meant for the brother of Holland's girlfriend and came during a dispute over a stolen cell phone.

Seventeen-year-old Robert Winston is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in March to assault and conspiracy charges.
