NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ A judge has sent a 64-year-old Providence man to prison after his arrest on a shoplifting charge.
The Providence Journal reports Raymond Henderson was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions Monday as a habitual offender.
He had been arrested Friday on charges he stole $100 in razors from a Stop & Shop supermarket.
Police say Henderson was already on probation after a February shoplifting arrest in Cranston.
Court records show 18 previous cases against Henderson, 16 of them charging him with felony or misdemeanor shoplifting.
