PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island State Police say a Central Falls motorist stopped because he wasn't wearing a seat belt has been arrested on gun charges.
The Providence Journal reports that Ramziddin Lovett has been charged with carrying a pistol without a license and obliterating the gun's serial number after the trooper stopped the car on Saturday.
Police said Lovett had a .32 caliber pistol and ammunition and was riding with two other men who also have faced previous firearm charges.
Lovett was held at the Adult Correctional Institutions pending arraignment on Monday morning.
It was not known Sunday if he's represented by a lawyer.
