CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — A second arrest has been made in the 2012 beating death of a Cranston man.
Police say Carlos Rios is charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Victor Baez. Rios had been serving time in Massachusetts on unrelated charges.
Police say he and two other men ambushed Baez outside his home in Cranston on Jan. 30, 2012, beat him and ran him over with a car.
Police in January charged another suspect, Carlos Reyes-Sanchez, in Florida, where he was working as a personal trainer. He is being held at the Adult Correctional Institution.
Rios is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in Kent County Court.
