CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — Three people have been charged with breaking into a Cranston home after police say they crashed their get-away car.

Police say the burglars fled the home on Pricilla Drive Wednesday morning when the homeowners returned to the house.

Police say as they were speeding away, their car flipped at the intersection of Prescilla Drive and Olney Arnold Road.

Police say 38-year-old Leonard Jackson of East Providence and 45-year-old Kerry Raso of North Providence were arrested at the scene.

Police say 46-year-old Kevin Lenk of Cranston was found later in the woods by a police dog. Lenk suffered a dog bite to the stomach.

All three were treated for minor injuries at Rhode Island Hospital. They also were arrested on numerous charges, including breaking and entering and drug possession.
