PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The Rhode Island attorney general's office says two men have been indicted in the fatal shooting of a man in Providence last year.

The prosecutor's office said Monday that 21-year-old Felix Olivares and 23-year-old Kongvannark Maloney are each charged with murder, conspiracy, and discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence. Olivares also is charged with possession of a firearm without a license.

The men are accused of killing 20-year-old Johenlly "Gabby" Espinal last August near the Wiggins Village housing complex on Westminster Street. Police said then Espinal had been in a relationship with a woman who also dated a suspect in his shooting.

Olivares was arrested April 3 in Brooklyn, New York, and is in custody there pending extradition to Rhode Island. Prosecutors said a warrant has been issued for Maloney.
