PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — A 58-year-old Warwick man has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.
The U.S. attorney in Rhode Island says Leonard O'Neill was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Providence Thursday. He pleaded guilty in October.
Prosecutors say a court-authorized search of O'Neill's home in 2012 turned up computers, a video camera and hard drives with 15,000 images and 2,430 videos depicting prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts with adult men.
Authorities say they include images involving infants, bondage and bestiality. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is trying to determine the victims' identities.
O'Neill must self-surrender to authorities by March 20.
The judge also ordered him to serve 10 years supervised release after he finishes his prison term.
