PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The Roger Williams Park Zoo's annual fundraiser has raised over $260,000 to support its environmental education and conservation programs.

The "Zoobilee" fundraiser held last month at the zoo in Providence attracted about 1,300 guests. The proceeds will go to support next year's environmental education programs and conservation initiatives, which focus on endangered species locally and worldwide.

The event has been held for more than 20 years.

Last year's Zoobilee brought in $276,000.
