(Providence, RI) -- The Whiskey Republic in Providence is agreeing to a police detail Friday and Saturday night after meeting with a city's Board of Licenses. The meeting comes after an incident where five people were stabbed and another person struck by a car just outside the bar's door. The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday after the bar had closed. The owners will meet with the board again on September 20th.
