(Providence, RI) -- Providence firefighters are helping one of their own after his home was gutted by fire. Firefighter Jose Vargas along with his wife and son were on their way to New Hampshire last Saturday when he learned his condo was on fire. The blaze which started in the kitchen due to an electrical issue destroyed everything and his colleagues have set up a GoFundMe page that has raised more than three thousand dollars. Vargas plans to use the money for clothes and furniture and what's left will go to the Red Cross to help others.
