(Smithfield, RI) -- Police are saying a medical marijuana grow operation contributed to carbon monoxide build up inside a Smithfield home. As a result 47-year-old Kristen LaTour and her three children went to the hospital, with LaTour dying a few days later. Police reports show that modifications made to the home for the grow operation which was permitted caused a blockage in the home's chimney. Authorities are now considering whether to file charges in the case.
