(New Bedford, MA) -- Authorities say two men are facing charges for stealing 8,300 pounds of frozen scallops and selling them to other seafood companies in the New Bedford, Massachusetts area. The scallops were reported missing February 6th from Continental Cold Storage. New Bedford Police arrested 44-year-old Antonio E. Vieira of Taunton, Massachusetts while 30-year-old Michael Caton of Applegate, California remains at large. The scallops valued at $150,000 were sold for more than $83,000.
