Lawmaker Seeks To Cap Minimum Wage For Those Under 20

(Providence, RI)  --  A state lawmaker is proposing a minimum wage cap for employees under age 20.  Republican Representative Kenneth Mendonca's proposed cap for those under 20-years of age would be $9.65.  Mendonca says increasing the minimum wage to $10.50 for all workers as proposed by Governor Raimondo would discourage employers from hiring younger employees.
