Rhode Island Fined By A Federal Agency

(Providence, RI)  --  It's been learned the state is being fined more than 800-thousand-dollars by a federal agency.  It's for not submitting changes in its contract with Deloitte, the provider of the state's trouble-plagued online benefits system.  WPRI-TV reports it obtained a document that says all contract amendments between the state and Deloitte regarding the Unified Health Infrastructure Project must be submitted to the U.S. Food and Nutrition Service.  A state official says the fine, which was imposed last year, is currently under appeal.
