SAYING "I DO" TO FOOD TRUCKS

Everybody loves food trucks and now more brides and grooms are using them to serve food at their wedding receptions. For couples who are looking to a fun, relaxed alternative to a formal, sit-down meal, food trucks are a great choice.

"It's fun for guests to walk up and order," explains Mei Li, owner of a Boston truck called Mei Mei. "It's a new experience for a lot of people, and adds a level of excitement and options that a traditional caterer can't provide."

There are some limitations to having your wedding reception catered by a food truck though. They can’t serve everyone at once and they usually don’t come with linens and servers. But guests can grab a drink and mingle while they wait for their turn and the happy couple can always hire waitstaff to clear and clean up.

Plus, not having to agonize over seating arrangements takes a lot of stress out of the event planning. And if the bride and groom prefer a traditional seated dinner, but still want the fun of a food truck, they can always hire one to do desserts instead
