(Providence, RI) -- A bill that would ban the advertising of unhealthy food and beverages in Rhode Island schools is moving forward. The measure would prohibit advertising not only during the school day, but also on anything for school-related activities such as athletic fields, scoreboard, uniforms and vending machines. The House passed the measure yesterday and now goes to the Senate.
