Proposed Bill Would Have Students Study At Home On Snow Days

(Providence, RI)  --  The state Senate Education Committee is holding a hearing tomorrow on a proposal to provide at home education on snow days.  The Rhode Island Department of Education supports the bill that would allow schools to have learning plans for students to do at home and keep the school calendar on track.  The state requires a minimum of 180 days of classes.  The program already exists in nine other states.
