(Westerly, RI) -- The Westerly Planning Board is approving conceptual plans for an enclosed rooftop restaurant at the Sandy Shore Motel. The owner needs a variance to the town's parking ordinance to move the project forward, but must appear before the Architectural Review Board before returning to the Planning Board for a public hearing. The proposed restaurant would have a retractable roof and seating for 150 people.
