The silly season's officially underway with House minority Leader Patricia Morgan officially announcing she's in the race for Governor. Cranston Mayor Allan Fung dusted off his "GOVERNOR" logo leaving little doubt he's all in for his second run at Rhody's brass ring.Former state rep Joe Trillo , co chair of Donald Trump's campaign in Rhode Island, says he's 99% sure he's diving in. There's even talk former Alex and Ani and Benrus big wig Geo Feroce will join the GOP fray....a possible 4, likely 3 way GOP primary. Fung likely enter the primary with the most campaign money. The Pro-Jo reports Morgan has 90 grand and I doubt Trillo's rolling in dough at this point. Of course, there's plenty of time before the promary to generate money. A crowded GOP primary field will leave the candidates bloody and battered and will serioslu tap their campaign cofferes. Waiting for the winner? Incumbent Democratic Governor Gina Raimondo and over 4 million dollars before a possible Democratic primary.
