PC POLICE TARGET SUPERBOWL HALFTIME SHOW

The booking of Justin Timberlake for the Super Bowl halftime show has triggered a backlash from women, minorities and others who claim Janet Jackson was unfairly forced to pay a much higher price than he ever faced for Jackson's breast baring "wardrobe malfunction" at the big game back in 2004. The incident, which became known as Nipplegate" left some arguing Jackson fell victim to a sexist and racist double standard that led to harsher career treatment for over a decade. The say Timberlake benefited from "white male privilege". A professor of women's, gender and sexuality studies at the State University of New York at Albany, Janell Hobson, says Timberlake's body was not criminalized and demonized in a way Jackson's was and it has everything to do with him being a white man. Hobson says Jackson's faced more punishment for her breast being revealed than people who have been accused of sexual assault. What? Last I checked we didn't have to organize a bake sale to help Jackson pay her bills. It was Jackson whose private parts popped put during the halftime show...of course that's what going to get talked about. Had...let's call it "Little Justin"....had slipped out of Timberlake's pants instead, THAT'S what would have been in the spotlight.
