(Providence, RI) -- Police say the shooting in Providence that led to a man being killed and a woman wounded is not connected to the theft of a state police cruiser. Officers shot at the people in the white pickup truck on Interstate 95 around 10:45 a.m. yesterday as the pickup was smashing into cars on the highway. The identity of the man killed has not been released. The woman is being treated at Rhode Island Hospital. The investigation is ongoing.
