I've got to admit, it's VERY frustrating having such an unfiltered president in my field of work. It's because he uses words and term that the FCC doesn't allow ME to use on the air. Yup, there are certain words that are just taboo to broadcasters...well, we can use them ONCE if we choose to. Search "George Carlin's 7 Dirty Words" on YOUTUBE to hear all the stuff we can't say on the public's airways. It's tough to report when you have a president who sends you scurrying for a list of synonyms on a seemingly daily basis. Trump drew criticism when he called Haiti, El Salvador and African nations "****holes". Of course, he's right....but there are many other ways to describe those countries without using one of the 7 dirty words. By now, we're used to Trump flying without a filter and most of his supporters defend his language saying he tells it like it is with the vernacular of the common man. Still he makes my job tough most times!
