Judge Suppresses DNA Evidence In Murder Trial

(Providence, RI)  --  A Rhode Island judge is ordering DNA evidence to be suppressed at an upcoming murder trial.  The "Providence Journal" reports Superior Court Judge Robert Krause ordered the suppressing of evidence involving Malcolm Querido of North Providence, who was shown in a video being physically forced to provide a sample at the Adult Correctional Institutions facility last June.  Krause, in his ruling earlier this month, called the conduct of the law enforcement officers who were involved unsettling.  Querido's trial has been placed on hold while the state attorney general's office appeals the judge's ruling.
