Necropsy On Former Patriot's Dog Inconclusive

(Cranston, RI)  --  No further charges are being brought in connection to the death of former New England Patriots player Jerod Mayo's dog.  The dog's trainer, Amelia Ferreira, concealed the animal's death and told Cranston police and members of the Rhode Island SPCA the dog died in her care, according to the police department.  Ferreira had originally reported last month to Wrentham, Massachusetts police that Knox, a five-year-old English bulldog, had escaped, but the dog was reportedly found at her home earlier this week.  A necropsy performed on the animal was inconclusive, but there was no evidence of trauma, police said on Wednesday.
