Traffic Camera Program Reportedly Expanding

(Providence, RI)  --  A Providence City Council member says the city's new traffic camera program is expanding.  Michael Correia tells GoLocalProv that five cameras are being added, raising the total to fifteen.  Three existing cameras are moving, according to Correia.  The controversial traffic cameras, which were put in place earlier this year, resulted in a federal lawsuit and eventually a new law passed by the Rhode Island Legislature which reduced penalties and added new regulations.
