Raimondo, Fung Win Primaries for Governor

(WHJJ) - Democratic Governor Gina Raimondo and Republican Cranston Mayor Allan Fung will move on to compete again in the General Election in November.  After winning their parties’ nominations, the two will face each other, as well as former GOP lawmaker and current independent Joe Trillo in November, as well as three other independent candidates. 

In the state’s U.S. Senate race, incumbent Sheldon Whitehouse(D) and former RI Supreme Court Justice Robert Flanders(R) won their primaries and move on to the General Election.

-Congr. Dist.1- David Cicilline(D), Patrick Donovan (R)

-Providence Mayor- Jorge Elorza (D)

-Warwick Mayor - Joseph Solomon(D)

-East Prov. Mayor- Roberto DaSilva (Unaff.) & James Russo (Unaff.)

-Cumberland Mayor- Jeff Mutter (D) (Challenger)
