A new Quinnipiac University poll out yesterday (October 1st) found that 48 percent of U.S. voters are opposed to Brett Kavanaugh being confirmed to the Supreme Court, while 42 percent support him getting on the high court. The percentage of those opposed to Kavanaugh being confirmed is up six points from early September, while his support went up just one point over the same period of time.

There is a gender split, with 55 percent of female voters opposing Kavanaugh's confirmation, up from 47 percent before last week's Senate hearing at which Kavanaugh and Christine Blasey Ford, who accuses him of sexually assaulting her in high school, both testified. But among male voters just 40 percent oppose his confirmation, up slightly from 37 percent in September.

Other results show 48 percent believe Ford, compared to 41 percent who believe Kavanaugh's denial of her accusation, and nearly 70 percent back the FBI investigation into the allegations against him.

Remember...ALL polls are "snapshots in time" so one MUST consider what feelings were on october 1st...and feelings certainly have swayed back and forth on this one.
