East Bay Drowning Incident Claims Two Lives

(Jamestown, RI)  --  Two people are dead after an apparent drowning incident in Jamestown.  Rhode Island Environmental Police say the individuals were fishing on the rocks at Fort Wetherill State Park on Sunday morning when a wave apparently swept one of them into the water, and the other jumped in for a rescue effort.  The U.S. Coast Guard recovered the two, identified as a man and a woman, but attempts to revive them on the way to Newport Hospital were unsuccessful, according to police.
