George H.W. Bush Remembered in R.I.

(Undated)  --  Rhode Islanders are remembering the 41st U.S. president George H.W. Bush, who died on Friday.  Bush campaigned for former Rhode Island Governor Edward DiPrete in the 1980s; DiPrete tells WJAR-TV the two became very close.  Senator Jack Reed, who was in the U.S. House of Representatives for the final three years of Bush's term, said even though he and Bush did not agree on every issue, he said you had to admire his character, integrity and resolve, and said Bush wasn't afraid to work across party lines to improve the lives of Americans and people around the world.  More recently, Bush was the commencement speaker at Bryant University, in 2008.
