(Undated) -- There is a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for northwest Providence County. The National Weather Service says the advisory will last from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday for a possible brief period of light snow, sleet and freezing rain. Total snow and sleet accumulations of less than one inch and ice accumulations of a trace to less than one-tenth of an inch are expected for portions of northern Connecticut and just northwest of the Boston-to-Providence corridor.
