Farrelly's Movie "Green Book" Wins Golden Globes

(Beverly Hills, CA)  --  Rhode Island native and Providence College alum Peter Farrelly is coming off a Golden Globe win for the movie "Green Book."  The film is based on a true story about black musician Don Shirley, played by Mahershala Ali, as he tours along with his white driver and bodyguard, Tony Vallelonga, played by Viggo Mortensen, in the Deep South in the 1960s.  The film won Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor.  Farrelly said the movie is important because we are still living in divided times.
