(Cranston, RI) -- A moratorium on new solar projects is being issued in Cranston. The Providence Journal reports the Cranston City Council unanimously approved the measure on Thursday for a nine-month period so that city officials can draft new regulations to address public concerns. A number of solar initiatives have been proposed over the last several years; two have been built, one is under construction.
