(Smithfield, RI)--Bryant University President Ronald Machtley is forming a task force to investigate a recent reported assault incident on campus.Three students who play on either the school's basketball or football teams are facing criminal charges as a result of the alleged incident this past weekend, when police say two residents in a campus townhouse were attacked.Machtley said in a letter to the campus yesterday that the task force will look into the circumstances that led up to what happened, and it will seek to determine if a bias incident occurred.The three students have been put on interim suspension and won't be allowed to return to the residence halls, but Machtley says they will be allowed to continue their academic studies.
