(Undated)--The Catholic Diocese of Providence is announcing some parish changes.St. Brigid Church in Johnston will shut its doors permanently as of July 1st, one year after it became a "mission" of another Johnston church due to declining attendance and ongoing maintenance costs.Bishop Thomas Tobin has also approved the mergers of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus and Our Lady of Good Help, both in Burrillville, also effective July 1st.The diocese notes the two parishes have shared one pastor and have consolidated their religious education programs since 2015.
