Is Barack Obama cooking up something with Steven Spielberg? We’re not sure, but the two met up earlier this week. Eyewitnesses saw them at an upscale eatery in New York City. The Oscar winning director came in through the front door while the former president used a side entrance. “They were with a group – with lots of Secret Service,” a source said. “It was still pretty low-key with no disruptions to other diners.”
It makes sense to meet with Spielberg since Barack and Michelle have a production company – Higher Ground Productions – and a deal with Netflix. And reportedly, Spielberg is helping Obama create a post-presidential narrative for his life.
And Barack isn’t the only political figure Steven’s working with. He’s already producing films with Hillary Clinton. Last year, Amblin TV optioned the rights to Elaine Weiss’ “The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight To Win the Vote,” with the former secretary of state as executive producer.
