Border States Head To Court To Stop Trump’s Wall

Two border states are going to court in an effort to stop the Trump administration from building a border wall in their states.

In a tweet, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra says he's joining his counterpart in New Mexico in filing the court motion. They believe President Trump's diverting Department of Defense money to the wall is illegal.

In the motion, the state's claim there is no emergency at the border and the President is circumventing Congress. It also claims there will be wildlife and natural resources issue if a wall is built. Several states have sued over that aspect.
