(Newport, RI)--A settlement is being reached in a discrimination suit against the Newport Grand Casino.The ACLU of Rhode Island says a female employee, Paula Borrelli, who worked at Newport Grand from 2007 until it closed last year, claimed she had been paid less than a younger male employee performing the same duties in the same position.The ACLU says the company, without admitting liability, has agreed to pay Borelli a confidential amount for her damages.
