Motions Call For Governor's Marijuana Regulation Lawsuit To Be Dropped

(Providence, RI)--Rhode Island lawmakers want to dismiss Governor Gina Raimondo's lawsuit filed over the regulation of marijuana.The legal challenge is over a new law that gives the legislature veto power for new medical marijuana and hemp rules.But in motions filed in Superior Court on Friday, an attorney said the law is already set for a repeal.The provision had been included in this year's state budget.
