CDC: Youth Tobacco Use Is Climbing

The numbers are out on tobacco and kids...and it’s not good.

The CDC claims more than six million middle and high school students have used tobacco in the past month. Of those, 85-percent are vaping.

The number who use traditional cigarettes is at its lowest point this year, but instead of giving it up they are using other products, including e-cigarettes.

The survey found one in three high school students, and one in eight middle school students are using tobacco. The CDC warns that nicotine is highly addictive and can harm brain development in young people.
