JetBlue to Be Carbon Neutral on All Domestic Flights by July 2020

JetBlue says they’ll be carbon neutral on all domestic flights by July of this year. The move is the first of its kind from any U.S. based airline. JetBlue says it will offset the carbon impact of its jet fuel by investing in forest conservation and landfill gas capture. On top of that, the airline will invest in projects focused on solar and wind power generation initiatives. The company aims to offset up to 17-billion pounds of carbon with the initiatives as well as using sustainable aviation fuel on flights from San Francisco.
