(Providence, RI)--The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority is temporarily closing the Kennedy Plaza interior passenger waiting area in Providence in an effort to prevent crowds.RIPTA also says passenger-waiting areas at Newport Transportation and Visitors Center and the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center in Pawtucket are also closed.RIPTA says the closure list also includes its photo ID offices at the Kennedy Plaza and at its headquarters in Providence.
