(New Shoreham, RI)--On Block Island: the New Shoreham Police Department says last week it received credible info that some islanders have threatened to damage the Block Island Power Company transformers.The purpose, according to police, was to shut down island power for the purposes of discouraging visitors to Block Island during the coronavirus crisis.This is a serious domestic terror threat and will be forwarded to the FBI, plus the power plant will be on heightened security, according to the police department.
