Providence College Official Apologizes For Parade Honoring Seniors

(Providence, RI)--A spokesperson for Providence College issued an apology on behalf of PC for a controversial parade honoring the Class of 2020 on Saturday.College administrator Steven Maurano says a parent called Providence College last week asking for the parade as a sendoff to graduating seniors, and that the school responded by saying it could not have involvement.Maurano noted the unauthorized parade on Eaton Street drew a large number of students, many of whom did not wear masks or practice social distancing.He specifically apologized to the Elmhurst and Smith Hill communities.
