Racial-Themed Murals On Boarded-Up Storefronts Get New Home

(Providence, RI)--Black Lives Matter-themed murals that were painted on some boarded-up storefronts in downtown Providence have been relocated.According to a report from The Providence Journal, downtown buildings owner Cornish wanted to make sure the plywood on which the murals were painted from stores on Westminster Street -- either to guard against possible rioting or to be secured from riot damage that did happen -- would not be discarded when the stores were de-boarded.The murals have been moved to the fence of a parking lot bordered by Eddy, Fountain and Union streets.Other downtown building owners will reportedly be approached about adding whatever murals they have.
