Rhode Island Governor Considering New Travel Restrictions

(Providence, RI)--Governor Gina Raimondo said on Wednesday that new coronavirus-related travel restrictions being developed by her administration are likely to be similar but "more stringent" than the restrictions announced for the New York City metro area.New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut are enforcing mandatory 14-day quarantines on visitors from states with surging COVID-19 numbers.In response to the coronavirus emergency, Rhode Island had a 14-day quarantine for anyone coming in from another state, which was lifted at the beginning of this month.
