Legislators Ask Governor to Change Vaccine Mandate For Healthcare Workers

(Providence, RI) -- Nearly three dozen members of the General Assembly are asking Governor McKee to amend a vaccine mandate for healthcare workers so they won't lose their jobs. Currently, the mandate requires healthcare workers must be vaccinated by October first. While strongly urging everyone to be vaccinated, the legislators say the mandate threatens the livelihood of those who've worked unvaccinated during the pandemic.
