Doctor Says 2022 May Be Year Covid Is Under Control

The dean of the Brown University School of Public Health predicts 2022 will be the year we get COVID-19 under control.

Appearing on ABC's This Week on Sunday, Dr. Ashish Jha was optimistic about the course of the pandemic despite rising levels of infection around the world as Omicron surges.

He emphasized that there will be new variants COVID-19, but he believes they will impact us less as tools to fight the virus improve.

Dr. Jha said while COVID won't go away, it's an illness that we will "learn to live with."
